A selection of personal projects
A collection of tracks created for different sections of a Japanese-inspired game as part of a university project. The tracks incorporate traditional Japanese instruments and a recurring musical motif, helping keep the tracks cohesive across the game.
Since 2022, I have been the lead guitarist in a regularly performing band, playing live shows at least once per week. This commitment has significantly developed my confidence and communication skills, as performing in front of audiences required me to cultivate a strong stage presence. Over time, this confidence has extended beyond performances and positively influenced my everyday personal and professional interactions. Through this experience, I have performed at a variety of venues, including several music festivals. These opportunities provided valuable insight into the technical and operational aspects of live events. I was able to observe the behind-the-scenes process of stage construction and production, speaking directly with lead sound engineers about the planning, setup, and management of large-scale live performances. Exploring the stage environment and observing professional mixing desks and audio systems in operation gave me a deeper understanding of how complex live productions come together. Seeing the level of coordination, expertise, and preparation required to deliver a successful event has given me a strong appreciation for the live sound industry and the professionals who make large-scale performances possible. This experience has strengthened not only my performance abilities but also my understanding of teamwork, technical production processes, and the importance of preparation in high-pressure environments.
While studying at university, I collaborated with SOLZ on the development of material for his EP, contributing original guitar parts and ideas during our writing sessions. Working closely together allowed us to combine our individual influences and create parts that complemented his artistic vision. The project is still ongoing, with further writing and recording sessions planned. This collaboration has reinforced my passion for co-writing and creative teamwork, and I enjoy the process of blending different musical perspectives to shape a song. Experiences like this have strengthened my desire to work with more artists in the future, both as a musician and as a creative collaborator.
While studying at university, I worked with AV3R on the recording of Not Your Problem, capturing both piano and vocal performances in the SSL studio. For the piano recording, I used three AKG microphones positioned across the low, middle, and high sections of the instrument to achieve a warm, balanced sound and capture its full dynamic range. The session presented several technical challenges, including troubleshooting issues with the studio equipment and audio routing. Working through these problems required patience, teamwork, and effective problem-solving, ultimately resulting in a successful recording session. This project provided valuable hands-on experience in a professional studio environment, strengthened my recording and microphone placement skills, and reinforced my enthusiasm for studio-based music production and recording work.
